Ready to take the pledge?

Summer Hill Cricket Club is asking players and officials to sign up to the Pledge Not 2 Sledge.

The Pledge Not 2 Sledge, while voluntary, is important because it reflects the club’s values of fair go and participation in an effort to eradicate bullying in junior cricket. We hope all junior players and officials will not only sign up but make it their mission to eradicate sledging from junior cricket!

Have a look at Frequently Asked Questions about the PN2S which explains what the Pledge is, why it is important and how we might deal with sledging from opponents. It also asks you for your ideas – how can we best help our kids respond? How we can build positive team cultures where sledging has no place?

TEAM MEETINGS: We are asking EACH TEAM to have a brief meeting to go through the FAQs and discuss how the PN2S might work for them.

SIGNING UP (AND DRESSING UP):
Early in the season we will be distributing a pledge sheet to each team that we are asking officials and players to sign on to. There is an added bonus of a free PN2S t-shirt that every pledger will receive. Wear it with pride!
