Want to play Girls Cricket?

SHCC is the leading Club in the Inner West supporting girls cricket.
We now have a complete pathway for young female cricketers to follow, starting with the Milo in2Cricket program designed for 5 to 8 year olds, Friday night T20 Blast designed for the 8 to 12 year olds and then on to playing in the newly named Thunder Girls Cricket League that was previously the Breakers Girls Cricket League. SHCC was a founding Club of the Sydney Rivers Girls Cricket Association that preceded the Breakers Girls Cricket League.
Details of the Milo In2Cricket can be found elsewhere on the website

This is a newly branded league following the huge success of last seasons Breakers Junior Cricket League and is now aligned to the Womens’Big Bash that starts this summer. With the increasing number of girls now playing cricket new teams have joined the competition and so Cricket NSW have split the teams based on location into Sydney Thunder or Sixers leagues. We will have teams playing in the Thunder Girls Cricket League. Midweek training will commence in September (probably on Tuesday afternoon) and run throughout the season to help the girls improve their skills. Training day will be confirmed closer to the season. This season we have two female coaches to work with the girls. Training is normally at Blick Oval, Holden St Ashbury.
We will be entering teams in both of the age groups so will have Under 13’s  for the younger (10 to 12 year olds) girls to step into playing hard ball cricket and then Under 17’s for the older (13 to 16 year olds) more experienced players.

When:    Spring competition - Mid October to Mid December
Where:    Home Ground is Ashfield Park, Pembroke St, Ashfield and game are played on a home and away basis
Time:    Games start at 2pm and are finished by 4.45
How:    Registration via the My Cricket website http://mycricket.cricket.com.au/ search for Summer Hill Cricket Club or on our Club website under Player Rego tab and select Thunder  League

There will be a Summer competition too, starting late January or early February through to mid-March
Last season our girls had some amazing experiences. Our older girls were presented with their Championship winning medals by the NSW Breakers at the SCG. These are memories that we hope will last a lifetime and more opportunities like this will feature in the future.
