Round 13: Summer Hill 115 def Marrickville CC 77
Marrickville CC won the toss & elected to bowl first. Emerson and Charlie got us off to a flying start, but unfortunately we lost a few wickets in the middle order
and were then interrupted with a couple of rain delays. Once play recommenced, Tove and Fosch batted aggressively and ran well between wickets to finish off
our innings strongly.
The sun came out and it was our turn to have a bowl. We got off to a flying start with Emerson taking a wicket in the first over. Charlie made a surprise return from his washed out private school game and took 3 quick wickets to turn the game in our favour. We fielded well, with plenty of energy and won the game convincingly in the end by 38 runs, securing our spot in the Top 4.
Special mention to our wicket keepers, Lucas & Finn, who both stopped multiple byes in the challenging slippery conditions.
