It’s March, Finals are here and the stakes are high – we are playing for Premierships and also for SHCC’s Glenn Holdstock Player of the Finals trophy. Glenn is one of our Club Founders, and played in our inaugural Senior Premiership back in 1996/97. Each year the Award is decided by Glenn, and awarded for an outstanding Performance in any match during the Finals Series. March can only mean one thing – it’s Cricket Finals time! Congratulations to our 4 teams who have qualified for Finals this year – Well done to Division 2, 4, 6 and 7 – and especially Division 4 who finished Minor Premiers. Division 6 still have 1 regular season match to go, and should they win, will also finish Minor Premiers. Sadly, 1 st and our 4 th Morning teams have not qualified, and 5 th Division will also miss out, even with 1 round to play. We wish each of
It’s been a slow start to cricket in 2026, with just 1 days play in January with matches cancelled due to heat or rain. The good news is that we’ve had some cricket in February, and some intra club games on the long weekend too. Div 1, Div 2, 4 and 7 have a single one day match to go before finals start, with Div 5 and 6 a 2 day match to complete, then a 1 dayer before Finals start, and our Div 4 Morning team complete a 1 day match this Saturday to finish their season.
