With the second round in the books, and Labour Day resulting in a bye this coming weekend – it’s a great opportunity to check in on the competition's progress. From Team Ranks, to who is being entrusted as Captain most often (to win double points), there are a lot of fun insights, so let’s dive right into it!
Team Ranks
Top Fantasy Teams – Who Reigns Supreme?
Owen Gibson currently occupies the coveted position of King of the Hill, with his team OGCC holding the top spot with 1794 points.
In second, Jay Karim’s Summer Hill’s Finest is hot on his tail with 1679 points.
Closely followed by Arup Saha and Lachlan Schreuder, who are neck and neck with just half a point between them – 1604.5 and 1604 respectively.
Phil, Umer and Eliseus round out the top 7, with Shaun, Mike and Dilir not far away at 8-10. It's tight and cut-throat at the top, with every manager being one cracker game away from breaking away.
Best Investments
Top Run Scorers: Who’s Crushing It?
Hamza Malik – Leading the charge with 160 runs. At $6.50m and sitting in 21% of fantasy teams, his price-to-output is quickly reaching levels even Paul Valthaty would be proud of.
Madushan Bandara – Solidly in second place with 134 runs, at a higher price of $14.40m, picked by 46% of you. High-value player, high-value returns.
Phil Tarbox – Coming in third with 75 runs, at the presidential price tag of $15.60m and owned by 33%. The Pres. is one to watch over the next couple of rounds – will he come up trumps in 5th Grade and continue his run of harassing opposition bowlers, or will his benefactors spend the season biding?
Boundary Bashers: Fours and Sixes
Hamza Malik is all about boundaries, cracking 24 fours and 5 sixes. With fantasy points awarded for each run and bonuses granted for 4s and 6s – Hamza’s bombastic approach is making his fans very happy.
Meanwhile, Madushan has icily guided 16 fours to the boundary without a blink of an eye.
Phil and Micah Edwards are tied with 9 fours each, showing they can be reliable in the middle while racking up points quickly.
Top Wickets: Who’s Doing the Damage?
Muniraj Mahajan – Top of the wicket-taking Leaderboard with 6 wickets, priced at $10.40m and picked by just 8% of teams. Sleeper pick, anyone?
Daniel Lopes and Lachlan are hot on his heels with 4 wickets each. Daniel is a bit of an under-the-radar choice, but Lachlan is more popular, featuring in 32% of teams.
Declan Cohen, Dharmin Thakkar, and Salman Kalam all have 3 wickets. Solid options across the board, especially since they reliably get overs for their respective sides.
Fan Favourites
Prom King: Who is the most popular?
5th Grade Keeper Simon Davies enjoys a whopping, mantle-piece-worthy, 60% pick rate among teams.
Stalwarts Phil and Jim Bandas follow in joint second place with a pick rate of 44% apiece.
Hamza gets yet another mention, as the third most popular player at 40%.
Captaincy Choice: In ___ we Trust?
Madushan is the top captaincy choice, with 32% of teams backing him for double points.
Phil and Jay trail behind with 20% and 12%. Both players captain their sides and play lead roles with the bat and ball respectively and so they are safe, reliable bets.
Dark horses Umer Aijaz and Lachlan Schreuder round out the top 5, with 8% and 4% each.

Trade Windows & Round Closures: Stay Sharp!
Just a heads-up: the trade window officially closes from 1 PM Saturday until 1 PM Tuesday while the weekend scores are updated. Since we have a bye this weekend, this round's window will remain open until our next fixture on the 12th.
Bonus Points and Catch-Up Mechanisms
To keep things exciting (and to give anyone late to the party a chance), there will be bonus point multipliers throughout the season: for particular fixtures, there will be a multiplier to the points earned, making those matches worth extra. This could be a huge opportunity for those trailing behind or for any new players joining mid-season to catch up. Imagine your captain smashing a century in a bonus fixture – those double points could turn into triple or quadruple, instantly pushing you up the Leaderboard.
Final Thoughts
t’s been a promising start to Summer Hill Fantasy, with 38 members in total, and more joining every day.If you’re lagging behind - or don’t have a team in yet (you can join here), don’t worry – there’s plenty of time to turn it around.
Keep an eye on those trade windows, be bold with your captaincy picks, and maybe gamble on a sleeper player or two. And don’t forget, with those bonus rounds coming, anyone could still steal the show!
Best of luck - Jay
